The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum is celebrating International Horseshoe Crab Day on Friday June 20th at 11 am with an educational program! This hands-on program will spotlight one of Earth’s oldest living creatures—the remarkable horseshoe crab. Often called a “living fossil,” the horseshoe crab has roamed the oceans for over 450 million years, surviving mass extinctions and witnessing the rise and fall of dinosaurs. Visitors of all ages will get up close with a live horseshoe crab and explore their unique anatomy, behavior, and critical role in both marine ecosystems and modern medicine. This program is included with paid admission to the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum.
