By examining questions such as "What's in it for them?" and "Why should they engage?"\, participants will learn how to better understand volunteer motivations and align them with organizational needs. We'll discuss different volunteer types\, what drives them\, and how to build stronger relationships that support your mission.\n\n\n\nSession Outcomes\n\nParticipants will learn how to create a more volunteer-friendly culture\, strengthen volunteer engagement and retention\, and develop practical strategies for building meaningful volunteer relationships that increase organizational impact.\n\n \nSession 3: Run Your Nonprofit Like a Business\n\nThursday\, August 27\n\n\nThis workshop distills key principles from the Goldman Sachs 10\,000 Small Businesses program into a practical framework for nonprofit leaders. Participants will learn how to think like growth-oriented CEOs\, strengthen financial and operational discipline\, and develop strategies that increase organizational sustainability and mission impact.\n\n\n\nSession Outcomes\n\nParticipants will:\n\n\n	Adopt a CEO growth mindset focused on sustainability\, scale\, and impact.\n	Define a clear growth strategy across programs\, funding\, and partnerships.\n	Use financial statements as strategic leadership tools.\n	Align people\, processes\, and performance metrics to support growth.\n	Leave with a practical 12-month growth roadmap and actionable next steps.
